Welcome to the mind of author Rick Florino, a twisted place to visit. His writing style is close to the style of Chuck Palahniuk or Tom Robbins, strange, dark and witty. The second installment of his DOLOR series (a ten part series featuring art from different a artist in each book), Chrissy starts with seemingly innocent people in a what looks like a dull town, and end with you asking yourself if it really happened. I sat down with this near pocket sized book and really didn’t know what I was getting into. I couldn’t put it down and when I was done; I wanted nothing more than to have the next installment in my hands (I can tell you, this series will be in my personal collection). I can’t wait to see what else his brain can deliver. Your parents always told you not to venture on the wrong side of the tracks; Dolor is the wrong side of the tracks.
